Faster Service with TomTom WORK
E.ON Ruhrgas AG is one of the leading gas companies in Europe. It offers a wide range of services and products for the transportation, storage, marketing and use of natural gas. E.ON Ruhrgas AG has a distribution system of more than 11,000 km of natural gas pipelines, 12 natural gas underground storage facilities and 26 compressor stations. Hence, one of the core tasks is also the monitoring and maintenance of all the technical installations as well as rectification and repairs for restoring the availability and maintenance of the gas supply.
Since 2004 and with more than 340 vehicles, E.ON Ruhrgas AG has been using TomTom WORK GmbH products. With the TomTom WORK equipment, the vehicles are localised and status information is sent and received. For this purpose the TomTom WORK fleet management system was integrated into the E.ON Ruhrgas information system without any problems and in the shortest time. The company praises the emergency call functionality of the system. With one press of a button, an emergency message is sent to the control, after which the control can immediately initiate the appropriate actions.
