For the GO 715, trips start when the device is switched on and finish when the device is switched off again. The GO 715 does not send the trip information to WEBFLEET immediately when the device is switched off, but waits for 15 minutes before doing so. This means that the trip does not end if you switch off the device for less than 15, for example, to refuel the vehicle. Instead, if switched on again before that time, it will just continue the previous trip.
NOTE: THE TRIP DATA IS ONLY SENT TO WEBFLEET WHEN THE DEVICE IS DOCKED!
When the trip information is transmitted to WEBFLEET, this includes the start position and time, the end position and time, the distance travelled and the maximum speed. In WEBFLEET, this information is shown in the list of message and the trip list.
Note that the GO 715 does not send a trip report if the device does not move between when it is switched on and off. Movement is only recorded if the device is docked.
Note that trip reports will not contain odometer values (total distance travelled) for the start and end of trip unless the GO 715 is configured for logbook reporting.
