Nijmeijer Transport und Logistik GmbH based in Gronau-Westfalen (Germany) carry out coil freight and urgent transports especially in Western Europe. With their employees and their 20-truck fleet the company takes transport and service orders from more than 500 customers in Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Benelux. Apart from their own vehicles they also engage subcontractors on a permanent basis from the specific countries they service. A part of the NTL fleet is based full-time in France, for higher flexibility and shorter reaction times regarding short term freight queries and urgent transports.

In October 2006 NTL-GmbH decided to go for the Connected Navigation solution from TomTom WORK. A few weeks later the system had already been fully implemented. "Actually, the initial implementation of the system was very quick. And by and by, as further units were added it became more exciting to manage and schedule them while seeing their positions at one glance in real-time spread over one map on the computer."
