KUNSTTRANS was fonded in 1974 as the first Austrian art shipper and today ranks among the art transportation companies in the world with the most modern equipment offering transport management, packing, security, storage and exhibition logistics. Renowned art institutions and museums from all over the world have entrusted their valuable art treasures to KUNSTTRANS for years. In 1981 the company started to expand in stages with a subsidiary in Budapest. At the moment KUNSTTRANS ships to a total of ten locations in Belgrade, Bratislava, Budapest, Bucharest, Kiev, Prague, Salzburg, Sofia, Vienna and Zagreb.
In a one-year trial, the company has successfully used the Internet-based fleet manager from T-Mobile (Austria) and partner TomTom WORK in four of its nine vehicles. The reliable accuracy of 5 to 10 m meets the special requirements of KUNSTTRANS, as well as the simple and intuitive operation of the system. KUNSSTRANS uses exclusively the permanent localisation and route display that is very important for them.
Individual access to the system as guest user can be provided to customers on request so that they can monitor the shipment of their "sensitive freight" themselves. Another advantage of the system is that it is Internet-based. "I have no maintenance and this saves me money." (says Andreas Kratohwil, Managing Director of KUNSTTRANS)
